a series of studies using generative techniques to analyse and reinterpret compositional and colour data from my paintings
[digital print, Processing]
95square_0003_Layer-6
connecting a series of windchimes to a laptop to record site and time specific data
the data is then used as the basis for a series of documentary high res prints
data captured is time, date, air movement and data specific to the author
[physical computing, digital print, video, Processing]
chime setup
an installation addressing ideas of the role of the artist and viewer in an artwork
when outside the room the traditionally framed paintings display accurately, however once the viewer approaches the painting the image blurs and darkens to become unviewable at the otherwise optimum distance
wanting to view the image destroys the image
[installation using Arduino and Processing]

A series of dynamic sites supporting teaching and learning on the BA Digital Arts and Foundation Degree Art and Design courses at Kingston College.
The sites are based around custom Wordpress installations that include embedded forums and feedback systems. Central to the sites is the use of screencast videos used for conceptual delivery, software tuition and formative/summative feedback delivery, currently the Digital arts site has around 150 hours of bespoke screencasts recorded primarily by myself.
The Digital Arts site was expressly mentioned as an example of good practice in a recent IQER report. [link]

/// clara vulliamy
I work with a children's author illustrator, Clara Vulliamy in a digitally enabled workflow. We collaborate on the production of artwork for children's picture books; artwork is scanned, manipulated, assembled and printed to large watercolour paper for further reworking. Final artwork is delivered both digitally and as paper based originals My involvement starts at roughs stage and continues through to delivery of assembled artwork.
